This story was pretty interesting and I do recommend it. I really like the MC, an 18 year old Texan who poses as her little brother in order to take his place at the trials. All of the side characters are real and offer a variety of creatures.┬áThe inclusion of magic is exciting and I love how it’s done.

However, I bought it with the expectation of a novel, not a novella. Just as the action was building and I was enthralled, it ended. I want to read the rest, but they’re all shorter and definitely overpriced for the size they are and it’s really frustrating. Almost all of the reviews I’m seeing with negative, HONEST, feedback agree about the length. There are over 400 reviews, which is a crazy amount to me, and it’s sitting at #1 best seller. But I’m really frustrated about the price for the length we’re given.

If you read it, and I do recommend it, let me know your thoughts!
