Poetry by Kristen

Fingers soar like eagles against your skin.

I chase the moon across your eyes, my eyes racing to catch your smile upon your lips.

My heart jumps when your arms find their home around my waist.

I can’t say that I love you, but I can say that I’m willing to wait to see what God has in store for our rebellious hearts.

I promise my dreams won’t jump to conclusions,

and I promise not to be someone that I’m not just as long as you promise

to continue to have patience while I fall in love.

Kristen Brandon lives in Virginia with her two crazy cats and loving boyfriend.  She has been writing poetry for the past 20 years. Her true passion is teaching children with special needs and writing poetry to bring hope to others.
